Hello Everyone!
I made it to the MTC safely and I am very tired. When I got through security in Vegas I had only about 5 minutes to wait before I boarded the flight. The trip to JKF wasn't too bad at all. There wasn't anyone sitting next to me and the seats were decently spacious so I took a little nap. I got to JFK and got on a bus to a different terminal and the flight was boarding as soon as I got there. There were 12 missionaries spread about on the plane and I sat next to Sister Allen who is going to the England Leeds mission. She is from St. George and she talked to Kory before he left which was cool. That flight felt a lot longer than it was because the seats were meant for toddlers. My knees were jammed into the seat in front of me for the entire 6 1/2 hours. It wasn't fun. The MTC is beautiful and we just got here a few minutes ago. My P-Days will be on Tuesday until I get into the field. Later tonight we get to hear from an Area Seventy which is rad. Talk to you next week, love you all!

Hello Everyone!
Today is my last day before I become a full-time missionary! I just got my travel info last week and I am going to talk a little bit about what I am doing and where I am going. So tomorrow after church I am going to be set apart by the Stake President. After that and until I board the plane I have to have a companion with the Melchizedek Priesthood at all times, which will be my dad. On Monday sometime after school my family will be going to Las Vegas and getting a hotel room so that we don't have to stress getting to the airport on time. On Tuesday morning I will be going to the airport to board my flight. At 10:50 am my flight will be leaving, hopefully on time. After about 5 hours in the air I will arrive at JFK. As soon as I get off I have to rush to my flight to Manchester which leaves only 45 minutes after I get to JFK. That flight will last 6 1/2 hours and I will be arriving at 7 am local time. Overall I will cover more that 5500 miles over a span of 13 hours. From the airport I will meet up with the rest of the missionaries that are going to the Preston England Missionary Training Center. The ride to the MTC will take 30ish minutes. I am incredibly stoked to be going on this adventure and I can wait to start life as a missionary. Sincerely, Travis |
